It began in the backyard of Kevin Harris, well before Star Status was formed. Kevin always wanted to start a COWBOYS fan club, but with a unique twist of having other teams enjoying the fun as well. 

The BACKYARD was consistent of many teams but predominantly of COWBOY FANS. The term BACKYARD BOYZZ is consistent with the #KEEPITFOOTBALL moto.  Being so many fans of other teams was with us, we had to create a SAFE ZONE. Due to the emotional state of fans, WINNING and or LOSING. We had to install a LEVEL OF RESPECT for TRASH TALKING. Also, the fact that individuals from GEOGRAPHICALLY CHALLENGED NEIGHBORHOODS were in attendance as well, #KEEPITFOOTBALL was the best way to SECURE the level of RESPECT. 

The COWBOYS were not a great team at the time but WIN, LOSE or TIE the COWBOY fans mounted up every week and enjoyed each other’s company. We then tried to have a COWBOYS only Sunday, but the BACKYARD BOYZZ invaded and challenged KEVIN, with the words. “YOU’RE NOT GOING TO LET US IN CAUSE Y’ALL having a LOSING SEASON”. That’s when the COWBOY fans realized the SHOW must go on the road. We traveled to different venues throughout the city, but the BACKYARD BOYZZ seemed to always follow. 

That’s where the CONCEPT of watching the game with other team fans began. In the middle of the 2013 season, COWBOYS VS SAINTS NOV 10TH 2013. STAR STATUS BEGUN.
